Phishing Alert

Phishing Alert - Jan 20, 2006

Fraudulent email attacks, known as Phishing (defined), have been dramatically increasing in frequency over the last several weeks. The Credit Union has identified more than one fraudulent email bearing the Credit Union name and logo. The linked web sites look nearly identical to the Credit Union web site and use domain names (web site addresses) that are very similar to the Credit Union's. For example, the domain names used in these attacks include but are not limited to the following:

The following links show examples of some Phishing attempts reported to the Credit Union.

Do not respond to any emails requesting personal or account information.

The Credit Union does not send emails requesting members to update their account information. The Credit Union does not request personal information via email unless the communication was first initiated by a member request. The Credit Union highly recommends that any personal information be made by contacting our Call Center at (310) 640-1880 or (800) 421-6887 (outside California).
